| Founding F.I.T. Decisions Board Member -- Treasurer. Ben is a retired Boeing Engineer (41 years of service) who worked with the FAA for certification of the first ever U.S. built jet transport. Ben was the lead engineer during the preliminary design and development of the 747 Airplane. In the early years Ben served as a naval training pilot during WWII, then graduating from the University of Washington After many years with Boeing, Ben joined the sales and marketing group, making presentations to Boeing’s upper management and airline executives throughout the U.S., Europe, Australia, and The Bahamas. Ben’s expertise included economic and financial analysis, comparison of payload capability and airline profits. Ben also became the leader and facilitator for the first and most successful consensus groups in his project work area. Ben’s church involvement over the years has also utilized his strong people and money management skills. Ben helped found a local church including Financial Planning and Building new church facilities. He has also served as the Head of Stewardship Committee and a Minister-Congregation Relations group. Over the years Ben has lent his financial expertise by being part of the budget committee. No matter where Ben serves, his excellent leadership and ability to bring about consensus in a diverse group makes him a viable addition to any Board or Committee. Ben resides in the Renton, Washington area where he and his long-time wife raised their family of two girls. Ben is the proud grandfather of three girls.
