Do the
Worst First.
Becca Bowen
It
is amazing how many other things we think of that have to be done when we
have a deadline on something else we really don't want to do. We can stay
super busy doing all the other things as a way to avoid getting down to the
one that causes us the biggest stress. Meanwhile, we still have that nagging
feeling for not finishing the other. True, we often have a lot going on all
at once, but when prioritizing how to get started, we can relieve a lot of
stress by thinking about which deadline is bothering us the most and tackling
that first. Which stressor is making us squirm or will cause the greatest
grief if it doesn't go well? We can relieve a lot of tension if we do the
worst first.
