Questions???

Regina Simmons

What will this school year bring? Am I leaving old friends? Will I make new friends? How will I handle the pressure to keep my grades up be accepted get along with my parents? What will I do if Im faced with hard choices? What will I do when I feel unhappy, rejected, or out of place?

So many questions where will I find the answers? Do I ask my parents, friends, a trusted adult, pastor, counselor? Who do I trust? Who can possibly know exactly how I feel? Can any of these people help with every situation I find myself in? What is the purpose for my life? We all want instant solutions to our problems but what about finding the best solution?

There is someone to turn to who will provide all the answers to all the questions. He has declared Himself a friend (John 15:14 You are My friend, if you do what I command you.) and counselor (John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever). His nameJesus. All He asks is that you believe that He is your Savior and follow Him.

How will He provide all the answers? Through His word (the Bible), His Helper (the Holy Spirit), and other people who belong to Him. This will happen as you take time to have a conversation with Him through prayer and bible study. Find a special place for prayer as you make a commitment to spend time with Him just as you do for your special friends. Then, find a group of other Christians to study His word so you can begin understanding what it means to follow Him.

Let Him help you find the best solution to all your questions. He created you just the way you are and has a purpose for your life. He knows you need help with all the different situations youll face this year.
I Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Why not give Him a chance to prove He can be trusted with all the details of all your problems?
John 8:31-32 If you abide in my word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

What will this school bring year bring? Will you continue to try to find answers to questions on your own or will you let Jesus help you?
