"Searching...always searching...There is something missing. Dissatisfaction, boredom... not people, not things, not activities can satisfy. What is missing? Is unhappiness and searching to continue? I need relief! My heart and mind are aching for something kind, caring, helping, leading, supporting, giving me hope and purpose..."

In a book entitled Into Abba’s Arms by Sandra D. Wilson, the author includes a chapter, "Why Do I Have A Hole in My Soul?". There is a hole in our soul that will cause the sorrowful feelings and thoughts listed above. Our human nature will make us seek something that will cause these feelings and thoughts to be replaced by happy ones. The problem seems solved for a year...a week...a day...a minute... Then one moment it happens—a moment when everything stops and reality says, "This is not the answer". "There is still something missing!".

Jesus is the answer. Let your mind and feelings reach out to HIM. The Only One who truly knows you...who will be kind, caring, helping, leading, supporting, giving you hope and purpose. Your Creator and Savior wants to be your best friend. Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises. Psalm 25:14 (LB) What do you have to lose? Your human friends, people, things, activities are not helping. God created the Garden of Eden for Adam and Eve to give them not only a wonderful place to live but also a place where He could walk and visit with them. And they [Adam and Eve] hear the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day Genesis 3:8a. He still feels that way about His child, you.

Searching...always searching...Let that become your heart’s cry to seek Him...to know Him. Is something missing? He will ease your aching mind and heart and give you kindness, caring, help, leading, hope, and purpose. He will be a friend who will walk and visit with you as you read His word, share your dreams, your sadness, your sins. He will be there in every joy, every sadness, every sin to forgive when you realize you have broken His heart.

Searching...always searching..."For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His". 2 Chronicles 16: 9a. He is searching for you, waiting for you to come to Him to fill "the Hole in Your Soul".hool yesterday" rather than saying, "You are always so mean to me and make fun of me."
