Hurrah! Spring is here and "summer is just around the corner". That means warm weather, sunny days, swimming, biking, going to the beach and the lakes—lots of time with your friends. But what to wear? How can you choose fun summer clothes that are fashionable yet not too revealing? By selecting more moderate and tasteful outfits, you will project maturity and self-worth to others. And, you won't give any cause for inappropriate thoughts or judgment.
A rule of thumb: While you are wearing shorts, sit down Indian style in front of a full length mirror. With a skirt try sitting down and crossing your legs in front of the mirror. If you can see up your legs, the shorts or skirt is too short—look, you are seeing what everyone else sees! You may also want to make sure you can easily pick up something off the ground without revealing too much of your "back side". Along with short shorts, avoid wearing tops that are low-cut or too revealing.
Think about honoring God and yourself by the clothing you wear - then go out and enjoy the summer sun!
