Choosing a
Marriage Partner

In
Justin Lookadoo and Hayley
Morgan's book Dateable: are you? are they? in chapter one they discuss what guys need to know and
what girls need to know about one another. Guys and Girls are two DIFFERENT creatures!
One of the differences Justin writes about is, 'the girl who has a crush on
you is practicing signing her first name with your last name!'
It's true, isn't it girls? I did it when I was in 8th, 9th and 10th grade!
Why do we do that when we're only 13 or 14 years old? Yikes, we aren't
anywhere ready to be married at that age but we are still dreaming. We're
dreaming about marriage, the man we'll marry, the kids we'll have, where
we'll live, etc. etc.
You have valuable time before the wedding bells ring. The most important
thing you can do for your husband right now is to develop yourself—who you
are, what you like, what you don't like, your worldview, your list of
"must haves" and "can't stands" in your own character as
well as your future spouse. Becoming a whole
person is the best thing you can do for yourself and your future marriage.
Enjoy the journey!
