Many people love getting outside to enjoy God’s creation during the winter months. In many parts of the country skiing, ice skating and snow boarding is the exercise mode of choice. In order to prepare your body, strengthen the muscles in the legs and buns by performing: Lunges, Squats, or Wall Slides.
Start out with a basic wall slide. Find a smooth door or wall, place your feet about shoulder width apart and a foot away from the door. With your back pressed flat against the door slowly slide down to a squat position. Be careful not to let your knees flex more than 90 degrees. Slowly slide back up. Repeat this move 8-12 times holding the last one down for a count of 10. Begin with one set and work your way up to 4 before the snowy season begins.
